Wine Tasting Temporarily Suspended

  In light of recent news and the advisory from Governor Newsom regarding the COVID-19 coronavirus, Holgate Hill is temporarily suspending wine tastings to the general public. We will resume tastings as soon as hygienically possible!

Our online wine shop, however, is OPEN FOR BUSINESS! We know in these uncertain times most of us will need a little extra delicious wine in our lives, so we’ve made a few awesome deals so you can stock up:

Regular Customers: get 15% off wine using the code stockup15 at checkout!
Wine Club Members: login to your account online and you will receive 30% off all wine purchases for the duration of this quarantine!

Holgate Hill will be available for scheduled wine order pickups Saturdays and Sundays from Noon until 3pm. So, if you’re a Wine Club Member that wishes to pick up your latest release, or you are a customer that ordered online and doesn’t want to ship, just let us know and we will arrange to meet at the tasting room (there’s a drop down “pick-up” option in our web store).

Thank you for your continued support in these trying times. We really hope you, your family and our friends all stay healthy while we all huddle down and ride this storm. We will get through this thing together – 6 feet apart.

The 2019 harvest is underway at Holgate Hill! We will be neck deep in grapes until Thanksgiving, but that doesn’t mean we won’t have some fun things in the tasting room for you this Fall. Mark your calendars for some of these cool events.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Afternoon Wine Tasting
at the Amador Vintage Market
Saturday, September 14th, Noon – 4pm

We are pouring at the Vintage Market the same day as the Amador Barbera Festival! Stop by to grab a bite and taste some of our new releases before we pour them in our tasting room.

Big Crush Harvest Wine Festival
October 4th – 6th

Each year we celebrate the grape harvest by inviting our friends to join for the Big Crush Harvest Wine Festival and get in on this most exciting time of year! Visit each of the participating wineries and you will be welcomed to the scenic foothills of Amador Wine Country by the entire wine community.

Come on down to Historic Amador City to try your luck on the Holgate Hill Prize Wheel and enjoy our new release wines this Big Crush! Purchase any 6 bottles, or join our Wine Club, for a chance to spin the Prize Wheel during the Big Crush (current members automatically qualify for a spin). Enjoy our new releases, Syrah and Climax Red, paired with Cassidy’s Famous Dolmades: grape leaves stuffed with zesty rice and seasoned lamb topped with a refreshing tzatziki sauce. We are open 11am to 6pm Saturday and Sunday.

Summer is just around the corner, and that means it’s time to start marking your calendars with some awesome Summertime activities.  Be sure to include Holgate Hill on your itinerary! We have some fun things lined up.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Rhône Release Weekend
May 24th – 26th

Stop by May 24th through 26th for a weekend of awesome Rhône wines.  The wine list will include: Grenache & Mourvedre Rose, Grenache Syrah Mourvedre (GSM) blend, 100% Grenache, 100% Mourvedre, and our fantastic Climax Red. Join us in the Tasting Room on Saturday, May 25th to enjoy our new releases paired perfectly with amazing cheeses.
$5 cheese pairing per person;  complimentary for Wine Club

Wine Club Release & Dancin’ in the Street
June 15th, Open ’til 8pm

Our next Wine Club Release will coincide with the first Dancin’ in the Street, a summer concert series in Amador City! We will be open late so you can cool off and wet your whistle in between dancing your heart out.  Wine Club Members: be on the lookout for a separate email with details about your June Wine Club Release in a week or so.
